Sara & Kenny: Winter Park Wedding 11-12-17

One of our great experiences in 2017 was catering the late fall outdoor wedding of Orlando residents Sara and Kenny. Their Big Event took place on the warm, sunny Sunday afternoon of November 12th at Winter Park Civic Center (Winter Park, Fla.), followed shortly thereafter by drinks and appetizers and a full multi-course buffet dinner prepared by our chef Todd that included a steak carving station.

The outdoor wedding area at WPCC has wonderful ambience. It’s a surprisingly serene, intimate spot with a pretty lakefront backdrop and towering oak trees that fill the space with pleasant shade and soothing filtered light. A terra cotta tiled Mediterranean terrace lies just to the rear of the wedding venue, abutting the indoor reception pavilion. The terrace is decorated with rich ceramic planters and is surrounded by a low stucco wall with attached benches. A huge, impressive stucco archway adds real drama as the entry point to the ceremonial wedding venue. We noted right away how fine the view and light conditions were here, which may be seen clearly in our event photo gallery (see Pinterest board link below).

Brunette bride Sara was a striking porcelain beauty in a long white gown with rich beaded embroidery, long matching gloves and veil. We should add that Kenny was very well turned out himself in classic black― accented with a subtly patterned vibrant gold vest and matching tie. He also wore a single red rose on his lapel. The two made a great looking couple during what was a soulful wedding ceremony. Groomsmen were also formally attired in black with rich burgundy vests and neckties, in like style. Sara’s beautiful bridesmaids were all-star caliber in their long, sleek burgundy gowns.

After their exchange of vows and a candle lighting ceremony, bride, groom and wedding party gathered for their official photo session while attendees partook in our variety of beverages and appetizers inside the roomy barrel-roofed reception pavilion. After making their entrance into the reception, bride and groom shared joyful moments on the dance floor, followed by their exuberant bridesmaids and groomsmen. Music accompaniment was provided by a local DJ.

The couple’s jewel-toned color scheme included table settings, linens, flower arrangements and their glittering, tiered wedding cake.

To Kenny & Sara ― sincere congratulations and warmest best wishes. It was a great pleasure to be of service on your Special Day !
